Passports

The procedure for issuing the first Italian passport, or to renew the previous one, is the same.

Following please find information on how to book an appointment on our portal Prenot@mi and the complete list of requirements and documents required to set up an appointment:

Please note that no fee is due to schedule an appointment.

Prior to setting up the appointment, Italian nationals must verify that they are registered in A.I.R.E.

Any personal updates must be uploaded through the Fast-IT portal (ex. new address).

It is always necessary to confirm the appointment ten days before the scheduled date and no later than four days before the scheduled date, otherwise the appointment will be automatically cancelled.

If there aren’t any available dates, the system will place you on a waiting list. The first available date will be assigned to you and must be accepted or declined by the date indicated in the automatic email received.

If accepted, the appointment must be reconfirmed a second time 10 days earlier always directly on Prenot@mi.

The cost of the passport is indicated at this link.
