Some consular services are free of charge, for others there is a fee. Booking appointments is always free.

Free Consular Documents
- A.I.R.E. Registration (Registry of Italians residing abroad)
- Transmission of vital records documents for registration at Italian Municipalities
- Proof of life Certificate for INPS retirees
- Tax number ID
For documents requiring a fee , we inform you that it is possible to pay only by money order with the following characteristics:
made out to “Consulate General of Italy – New York”;
indication of the exact amount due as indicated in the table below;
indication of the name and the address of the user.
We do not accept cash, credit / debit cards or personal checks.
Payment must be made in US Dollars and the amount changes quarterly (i.e. January 1, April 1, etc …).
