The addresses of the Agenzia delle Entrate offices can be found on the website www.agenziaentrate.it
Foreign citizens can request the Codice Fiscale to the Italian Consular Office of his/her consular district only in those cases where the Codice Fiscale is necessary for online procedures and/or in case the foreigner is unable to delegate a representative to make the request to the Agenzia delle Entrate.
In such cases the Consular Office will forward the request to the Agenzia delle Entrate in Italy.

Given the extremely high number of requests, the office is unable to provide immediate feedback. All messages will be processed gradually in the order in which they are received. Users are advised not to send the same request a second time as this may cause further delays in processing.
Married foreign citizens who have provided a passport showing their married surname are reminded that the surname that will be taken into consideration for the issuing of the codice fiscale is the same shown on the passport (not the birth surname).
ATTENTION: If you have both foreign and Italian citizenship, you must apply as an Italian citizen or be the holder of an Italian passport (see above, SUB A.)
B.2. ISSUANCE OF THE CODICE FISCALE CERTIFICATE
Once issued, the Codice Fiscale certificate (which contains a digital barcode needed to activate SPID), will be sent to the applicant via email as a PDF file, which can be printed and used for all purposes permitted by law.
