Managing bodies/promoters

Among the stakeholders active in the promotion of Italian language and culture collaborating with the Education Office, a decisive role is played by Enti gestori, local non -profit organizations that, after having been included, on request, in a special register (Albo consolare degli Enti gestori) receive contributions from the MAECI to organize Italian language courses in public and private schools.

Albo consolare degli Enti gestori / Consular Register of Enti gestori / promotori

 

Update of the Albo consolare degli Enti gestori / promotori

The “Albo degli Enti gestori” is open and, upon request, any “body” can ask to be enrolled or cancelled at any time.
Interested bodies can apply to be included in the” Albo”, as stated by Circolare n. 4, if they possess the following rules:

  1. be managing entities, as referred in article 11 of Decreto legislativo 64/2017, non for profit according to local law, with legal personality, and promoters of Italian language and culture dissemination initiatives, as stated in article 10 of the same Decreto;
  2. be provided with Status in accordance with local law describing characteristics, tasks, aims, financial means and field of intervention, and comprising among its purposes, the promotion of Italian language and culture.

In the Albo consolare cannot be entered bodies who:

  • have within them other bodies with similar characteristic and aims;
  • in which there are people holding statutory or managerial posts; even if it is an honor, representatives of diplomatic/consular posts, the Italian Cultural Institutes, the Education office and the Com.It.Es;
  • whose statute is not in accordance with local law.

To register in the Albo the following documentation must be submitted:

The application with all its attachments can be sent:

  • To the following e-mail address: con.newyork.ufficioscuola@cert.esteri.it;
  • Or by registered mail at the following address: Ufficio Scolastico, c/o Consolato Generale d’Italia a New York, 690, Park Avenue, New York, NY 10065;
  • Or by hand delivery in a sealed envelope at the Consulate with the wisdom to direct it to the Education / School Office indicating:” Application to enroll in the Albo consolare degli Enti gestori e promotori di iniziative a favore della lingua e della cultura italiana”.

After monitoring and evaluation of applications by the Consular Office, an updated  Albo consolare will be published in the section “Cultural diplomacy” of the consulate web side.

The Albo will last 4 years and, on a yearly base, there will be a revision of the maintenance of the requirements.
