There are different and diversified experiences of Italian language teaching, or school subjects taught in Italian, in the schools collaborating with the Education Office
- Schools using the Italian system:
- Italian sections in international schools
- Dual language schools:
- Schools where courses of Italian are taught as curricular or extracurricular activities.
To these, all the schools where Enti gestori or other actors are active in promoting Italian language and culture, must be added (see list).
The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation supports and coordinates the educational offer of these schools providing:
- financial aid;
- qualified Italian teachers from the Italian Ministry of Education;
- purchase of teaching materials;
- award of scholarships.
