On June 14, the Consulate General of Italy in New York will launch a new online booking platform for passport and visa appointments. The new platform, Prenot@mi, can be accessed at https://prenotami.esteri.it.
The new portal will gradually replace the current Prenota Online system, which will remain effective until all the currently scheduled appointments are cleared. Therefore, the appointments that have already been booked through the Prenota Online system for the months of June and July are confirmed and will be honored.
Starting on August 1, however, appointments can only be scheduled through the new system Prenot@mi.
The Prenot@mi portal will introduce several new features, including heightened security and a new, more intuitive, and user-friendly interface experience. In addition to an enhanced and simplified registration and booking process, the new portal will feature a waiting list option that users can utilize when no appointments are available. Finally, users will be able to upload the documents needed for their scheduled consular service directly onto the system, which will result in a speedier and smoother in-person appointment
at the Consulate.
