W. Bush Carrier Strike Group (CSG 10).<\/p>\n<p>During her port call in New York, at PIER 88, the Italian Frigate Alpino will be open for tours. Visiting hours are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 March: from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 06.30 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>6, 7 and 8 March: from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 06.30 p.m<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><strong>About the ship<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ITS Alpino (F594) is the fifth Frigate of the Bergamini class, the fourth to be made in the anti-submarine warfare version.<\/p>\n<p>144 metres long, 20 metres wide and with a displacement of 6,700 tonnes, the Frigate is named in honour of one of the Italian Army&#8217;s historic specialities.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to a crew of 168, the Ship can accommodate a helicopter section for two aircraft, a complex command staff and a team from the San Marco Marine Brigade or Special Forces.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"From 3 to March 8, the Italian Frigate Alpino will moor in New York, after completing the C2X (Composite Training Unit Exercise) 2026 training campaign with the U.S. Navy.
