Consulate General of Italy in New York

690 Park Avenue, New York, NY

Starting from 6 pm

On October 20th, 2016, the Consulate General of Italy will launch the new project New York Loves Italy, starting with the “Digital Challenges Between Tradition and Innovation” event.

This new series of events is aimed at binding together Italians and New Yorkers in love with Italy, with the goal of enhancing a lively debate and promoting the best of both cultures.

The New York Loves Italy initiative aims at attracting and giving young professionals an opportunity to connect with successful Italians and Americans. Through this series of events, the Consulate General’s ultimate goal is to create a platform to further strengthen the strong cultural bond between Italy and the United States.

The “Digital Challenges Between Tradition and Innovation” event will feature a one-on-one dialogue between Gianni Riotta, journalist and professor at Princeton University, and Sreenath "Sree" Sreenivasan, Chief Digital Officer of New York City, two professionals amongst the main experts of the digital sector who will narrate their own stories on life, work and experiences. Guests to this event will have the opportunity to be inspired by their words and take part to a unique moment where the Italian and the American culture will blend together.

The following events of this series will see the participation, amongst the others, of experts in the sectors of food, sport, fashion, design and art.
