Affidavits
The affidavit is a special document drawn up and signed by an individual (therefore “self certification”) in his own interest on personal facts; it can be used in relations with government agencies and providers of public services and it can substitute for standard certifications and affidavits. In relationship with a private individual, the use of self-certification is solely at the drafter’s discretion.
The coming into law of the Presidential Decree December 28, 2000 No. 445 sanctioned a significant administrative simplification process in order to reform the public administration by establishing a more effective and transparent approach.
